Guacamole
Guacamole is a creamy avocado dip that was first developed in Mexico. It is made up of mashed avocado, onion, tomato, chilli, lime juice and seasoning. You can make it as smooth or as chunky as you like and its commonly eaten with nacho chips or as a topping on tacos. I love the chunkier style!
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serves 3-4 as a dip
Ingredients
2 ripe medium avocado
½ small tomato chopped and deseeded
1 tbsp finely chopped onion
1 green chilli crushed
1 small garlic clove crushed
Salt to taste
2-3 tsp lime juice
A little fresh chopped coriander
Cayenne pepper (to sprinkle on top)
Instructions
Mix all the ingredients except the cayenne into a large mixing bowl and gently mash to form a lovely creamy chunky dip.
Sprinkle a little cayenne pepper on top and serve.
Enjoy with nacho chips, as a topping on tacos or spread over a slice of sour dough toast. Yum!
